Job Description

AssureCare is looking for motivated, team-oriented Business Intelligence Developers who are driven to make an impact in the healthcare industry through effective medical management solutions.

The BI Developer will be required to work with cross functional business teams to examine and evaluate reporting requirements. The BI Developer oversees specifying, creating, and testing reports and data queries from multiple enterprise systems. This entails managing user request expectations and priorities as well as reporting progress to users.

This individual will also be responsible for the necessary reporting structures by applying their demonstrated expertise in specialized reporting technologies. And is also in charge of proactively creating and preparing reports based on their discoveries, replete with suggestions for enhancing current reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the current reporting activities for the development of existing and future reporting procedures and models by charting existing processes.
  • Develop routines and procedures for end-users to facilitate best practices use of reporting tools and applications.
  • Communicate reporting changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally or through written documentation – to management and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood to deliver better value to the client.
  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define reporting requirements and goals.
  • Develop mockup reporting models for client approval and subsequent testing.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives for improving processes in reporting systems across the organization.
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new processes, and other postimplementation support.
  • Drive and uphold high engineering standards, bringing consistency to the codebases you encounter and ensuring software is adequately reviewed, tested, and integrated.
  • Write high-quality code, designed to be easily understood by others and maintained in the future.
  • Ability and flexibility to travel to work with customers on-site.
  • Work collaboratively with design & development teams daily.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant experience designing, developing, and shipping software.
  • 3+ years proven experience with report writing and technical requirements analysis, business process modelling/mapping, methodology development, and data modelling.
  • Proven experience with SSRS, Power BI and/or Tableau.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field is preferred.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into detailed technical solutions consisting of existing and new product features.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Ability and desire to learn new software and technologies quickly.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work individually and as a part of the team in a fast-paced agile environment.

Additional Skills

  • Understanding of the healthcare industry, related technologies, and regulatory needs (e.g., HIPAA)
  • Relevant experience in SSIS.
